Shamil Gasanov was introduced to martial arts in Daghestan at an early age. Since then, he has always known that it was a path he wanted to take and excel.

In 2022, Gasanov rose aboard a championship and supported his solid campaign, currently holding a 5-1 sheet on the way to become one of the eminent forces to count in the MMA Division of featherweight.
Shamil Gasanov seeks to secure a shot on the world title with a victory at One Fight Night 34
Shamil Gasanov believes that he is due to a world title in a championship. He seeks to emphasize this more with another emphatic victory in his scheduled match this week.
“The Cobra” should take the ring at One Fight Night 34: Eersel VS Jarvis on Prime Video on August 1 at the Stadium Lumpinee in Bangkok, Thailand. He will face American Garry Tonon in a MMA of featherweight.
In the same interview with One Championship, Gasanov stressed that he used the match to make a stronger case for a shot in the following world title in a case of victory, against the divisional king by reigning Tang Kai of China.
Shamil Gasanov said:
“I don’t need to fight Tang Kai. For me, he just has what I want … I need the belt. If I beat Garry [Tonon]I should be the next challenger. A good winning race and a title shot only only make sense. “”
Shamil Gasanov is currently making a sequence of four fighting victories since his loss against Tonon by submission (Kneebar) during his first meeting in July 2023.
