Carlyle CEO Harvey Schwartz, said actively looking for investments
(Reuters) -Harvey Schwartz, CEO of the Carlyle group, said that his business actively seeks opportunities to deploy some of the $ 80 billion in new investments.
Schwartz, addressing the global conference of the Milken Institute Annual, said that the moment of any new investment will depend on the clarity of the pricing policies of the administration.
Carlyle existing portfolio companies are “very tactical and hyper-strategic” to decide how to negotiate the existing uncertain environment, said Schwartz.
“If you have a scale, if you have financial flexibility, you can choose to look into a very competitive being,” he said, adding that some could even choose to enter the possibility of buying market share.
Schwartz also said that he thought that the current uncertain environment is still difficult for smaller and medium -sized companies to become public, although it expects administrative policies to help solve this problem.
