HTL buys its fifth 3pl since 2021, develops in Reefer’s affairs

HTL Freight, the acquired 3PL -based in North Carolina, which has bought several brokerage houses in recent years, has bought TS3 Logistics, a specialist in California by loading refrigerated trucks and Refrigerated LTL transport.

Of the five acquisitions that HTL has made since its change of property in 2021, this is the second purchase. The specific price paid for TS3 has not been disclosed.

Left Lane Associates was HTL’s advisor on acquisition. Peter Stefanovich, President of Left Lane, said in an email in Freightwaves that HTL had not had a large experience in the refrigerated freight sector and at a controlled temperature before, and the acquisition of TS3 extends the scope of the company.

HTL was bought from the original management by UN Okebie and Brian Boland, said Stefanovich. All the acquisitions have come since then, he added, noting that the previous owners had not expanded the company through purchases.

The purchase by HTL de TS3 has been its first since its acquisition of 3PL CTS logistics in 2024. It was the largest acquisition of the company.

“In just four years, we have executed five targeted acquisitions, each adding force in key service methods, geographic presence and operational depth,” Okebie said in a prepared statement. “This decision extends us to the critical freight sector at controlled temperature while establishing a bastion on the west coast to complete our scope in the Southeast, the Northeast, the Midwest and the South West.”

TS3 will be integrated under the HTL banner. There are 10 employees at TS3, and the acquisition will bring a total job of up to 70, said Stefanovich.

Boland, the co -owner who is also HTL financial director, said that TS3 “provides a solid reputation for service, in -depth knowledge of the market and an entrepreneurial team”.
