“I was attacked at 12, so all my sexuality was really eliminated because I stopped, at 12,” said Wynonn Go home.
“So, I brought the weight, both clean and figuratively.”
She has not only brought an emotional weight – she dressed it.
“I mean, if you look at Juds’ clothes, my clothes are up to it here and here, like Amish. I am Amish, basically,” explained Wynonna, letting out how much she has always been covered.
“I wear clothes to cover, not to exhibit – to date.”
According to the longtime producer Don Potter, Wynonna’s wardrobe choices came from a deeper fear.
He said that she had “the death of the death of being coveted” and that really did not want to be perceived as “attractive”.
And when your mom is Naomi Judd – Glamor, admired and followed the house by men – this contrast struck hard for Wynonna. “It was always really difficult for me because I saw him coming to me,” she shared.
