Us every week has contacted the royal family for comment.
Beatrice was given the title “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York” at birth as the eldest child of then-wife Andrew, 65. Sarah Fergusonwho were at the time referred to as “The Duke and Duchess of York”. (Andrew and Ferguson, 66, divorced in 1996 after 10 years of marriage.)
Once Béatrice is married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020, the York was stripped of its title. She is now called “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice, Mrs. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi”.
Eugénie’s title followed the same pattern as that of her older sister. She was born “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York” and after her marriage Jack Brooksbank in 2018, she was christened “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank”.

Andrew, who is Charles’ younger brother, announced on Friday that he would no longer retain his title as Duke of York due to his past connection to a convicted sex trafficker. Jeffrey Epstein continues to make headlines.
“In discussions with the King and my immediate and extended family, we concluded that the continued accusations about me were distracting from the work of Her Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement to We. “I have decided, as I always have, to prioritize my duty to my family and my country. I stand by my decision of five years ago to retire from public life.”
He added: “With Her Majesty’s agreement, we believe that I must now go further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors conferred on me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
The news came as Andrew’s past ties to Epstein continue to haunt him. In 2019, the late Virginie Giuffre accused Andrew of sexual assault. She claimed that while at one of Epstein’s properties, when she was 17, Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell organize the sexual encounter.
Andrew continued to deny the allegations and denied having any connection to Giuffre.
Following the scandal, Andrew announced in November 2019 that he would step back from royal duties.

Andrew, however, remained in the spotlight after Giuffre sued him in 2021 for sexual abuse. The two eventually settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. Giuffre committed suicide in April. She was 41 years old.
Epstein, for his part, was arrested on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors in July 2019. He committed suicide a month later, at the age of 66, while at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York.
Maxwell, meanwhile, was convicted of child sex trafficking in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022.
Andrew’s name was linked to Epstein again earlier this month when an alleged email exchange between the men dating back to 2011 resurfaced. Multiple reports claimed that after the email circulated, tension between Andrew and Charles increased before the title was surrendered.
