AEW star Bryan Danielson recently opened up about his relationship with a popular WWE star. In fact, Bryan’s WWE career has been closely linked to former world champion The Miz since the very beginning.
When the American Dragon appeared in NXT, he was teamed with The Miz. The Awesome One was great on the mic, but there were still doubts about his ring sense. However, Bryan agreed with the duo and it launched the star into a very successful career on the WWE main roster.
In a recent interview on PREVIEW with Chris Van VlietDanielson mentioned that it always seemed like the two stars didn’t get along. However, this was an act to further deepen the storyline. He pointed out that the two stars had very different personalities and fans often thought they might not get along in real life.
“I always say in interviews that ‘Oh, me and Miz don’t like each other,’ or whatever, but I think I can let go of the role and say I like him. We created this storyline that has lasted since I started in WWE. We’ve always worked together, but we’re very different personalities, so you can buy it.” [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

In 2016, The Miz and Bryan Danielson had a huge argument on Talking Smack. The confrontation went viral as fans couldn’t tell if the segment was filming or work.
Miz was the Intercontinental Champion while Bryan was the General Manager of SmackDown. The two men had a heated exchange over who was a coward. The Awesome One obliterated Bryan with his words and even challenged him to start wrestling outside of WWE.
Bryan Danielson got fed up with the comments and stormed out. Miz, however, continued the monologue and asserted that he deserved the respect of his colleagues and the WWE Universe.
