“After a vacation, Hardik reported to the BCCI Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bangalore on November 21. He will be at the CoE for a month. He has started his gym sessions and is expected to be back in action during the white-ball series against South Africa at some point,” a BCCI source told TOI.Meanwhile, Indian ODI batter Shreyas Iyer is likely to be out for two months after suffering a ruptured spleen and rib cage injury during the third ODI against Australia. The injury rules him out of the home ODI series against South Africa. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to return to competitive cricket for the ODI series against New Zealand, starting January 11.“I am currently recovering and getting better every day. I am deeply grateful for all the well wishes and support I have received – it truly means a lot. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts,” Iyer posted on X on Thursday morning. “Yes, he is recovering very well from this serious injury and will be released from the hospital in three days,” a source said.
