Google tests customizable call cards for Android that appear when your friends call

Google began to deploy customizable call cards for beta versions of its Android contacts and telephone applications. Android authority found clues that the company was working on functionality in July when it dismantled APK. Now you can try if you decide to install the beta versions of the applications. As the publication notes, the implementation of Google is the direct opposite of that of Apple. On iOS, you define your own photo and name that you want to show on the phones of others when you call them. You cannot change the contact posters of others, as Apple calls functionality. Meanwhile, on Android, you cannot make your own business card. The functionality rather gives you a way to define a photo and a name for your contacts that appear on your screen when they call you.

If you have access to the beta contacts for Android, you will now see a note that indicates “try to add a call card” when you display the details of a contact. From there, you can choose a photo you have of this contact in your gallery or take a new one with your camera. You can also adjust the font type and the color of their name. Whenever they call, this call card will take up the screen of your phone. If nothing seems to you, it may be because Samsung has a profile card function for some time now that works like the implementation of Google. It is already widely available and accessible from the profile pages of your contacts.
