Golf analyst Ian Baker-Finch retiring his CBS

Ian Baker-Finch retires after a career of three decades as a golf commentator after his professional days of play.
The announcement was made Tuesday in a press release published on the X CBS Sports account. Baker-Finch, 64, has spent the last 19 years with the broadcaster.
As a player, the Australian is the most recognized for his victory in the 1991 open championship in Royal Birkdale. Baker-Finch began his broadcasting career with ESPN in 1998 and joined CBS in 2007.
“After 19 incredible years as a golf analyst at CBS Sports and a remarkable 30-year trip to the industry, I announce my retirement from the diffusion,” said Baker-Finch. “Golf has made a huge part of my life. I had the chance to compete with the best play players and work more recently with the best of television. To my Sports CBS family – my teammates, producers, directors and crew – Thank you for your extraordinary talent and camaraderie programs.
