Championship of players 29: emotional Ross Smith beats the star of nine Dart Josh Rock to win the second season of the season | Darts News

Ross Smith won his second 2025 PROPERT TITLE in the 29 players’ championship, overcoming Josh Rock – who struck a new dart on the road to the fascinating final on Wednesday in Leicester.
After missing the Swiss Darts trophy for family reasons, Smith returned with a goal, offering averages of four tonnes and more than 106 to whiten Michael Van Gerwen in the last 16.
His campaign started with an average of 104 against Berry Van Peer, followed by dominant victories on Jamai Van Den Herik and Lukas Wenig.
In the final, Smith showed resilience, gathering 6-4 and 7-5 to defeat the Northern Ireland rock with a 118 cash register with the decisive leg.
The emotional victory followed his previous triumph in the players 16 in May.
Rock, meanwhile, struck the only one of the day in the third round against Wesley Plaisier before overcoming Dirk van Duijvenbode, Danny Noppert and Gary Anderson.
