Give copyright citizens to their own resemblance

Here is a strange potential future: at birth, you are issued a birth certificate, a social security card and copyright. This possibility emerges in Denmark, where managers are considering changes in copyright laws to provide citizens with a right to their own resemblance as a means of fighting the depths generated by AI, according to The Guardian.
The proposal, advanced by the Danish Ministry of Culture and expected for a parliamentary vote this fall, would grant Danish citizens the control of copyright on their own image, their facial characteristics and their voice. This protection made it possible, in theory, the Danes demand that online platforms remove deep leaflets and other digital manipulations shared without their consent. It would also cover the “realistic imitations and digitally generated” of the performance of an artist without consent, so no versions generated by the AI of the songs of your favorite artists would be authorized.
In addition to granting copyright protections to persons, the proposed amendment would establish “serious fines” for any technological platform which does not respect the law and respond to requests for withdrawal. The person from identity in Deepfake could also request compensation.
“In the bill, we agree and send an unequivocal message that everyone has the right to their own body, their own voice and their own facial characteristics, which is apparently not the way the current law protects people against generating AI,” said Danish Minister Jakob Engel-Schmidt. “Human beings can be executed via the digital copying machine and be used badly for all kinds of ends and I am not willing to accept it.”
Denmark is far from being the only nation to take measures on Deepfakes. Earlier this year, the United States has adopted the Take It Down Act, a much more defined bill that gives people the right to request that platforms eliminate non-consensual sexually explicit images-although some activists have argued that the law is poorly defined and could be armed by those who act in bad faith.
