The hopes of the Giants of San Francisco’s playoffs took a hit on Friday when the right -hander Landen Roupp landed on the 15 -day injured list with inflammation of the left knee.
This decision is retroactive on Thursday for Roupp, which has a 7-7 file with an MPM of 3.80 in 22 departures this season. He granted five points in each of his last two departures, especially in a defeat on Wednesday against the Padres of San Diego.
The 26-year-old has an 8-9 file with an MPM of 3.73 in 45 career appearances (26 departures) during the last two seasons for the Giants.
In a corresponding movement, the Giants recalled the left-handed Whisenhunt of Triple-A Sacramento, who made his debut in the major league on July 28 and went 1-1 with an MPM of 5.02 in three departures for San Francisco.
Second round track in 2022, Whisenhunt has a 9-5 file with an MPM of 4.37 in 19 departures in Sacramento this season.
