Braves the right -hander Bryce Elder will put his unbeaten record against Colorado Rockies online on Friday when the teams open a series of three games in Atlanta.
The Braves return home after winning two of the three games in Milwaukee, which followed a sequence of seven consecutive defeats. Atlanta has nine games under .500.
The Rockies had lost five in a row before returning to score three times in the ninth round on Thursday to beat the Giants of San Francisco on a visit 8-7 and avoid a scan of three games. The 13-55 colorado record corresponds to the 1932 Boston Red Sox for the worst start of 68 games in a season in the modern era (since 1901).
The weekend will be the second series this season between the teams. Atlanta won two of the three games in Denver at the end of April.
Elder (2-3, 4.08 ERA) will be opposed by German Marquez (2-8, 7.00) in the opener.
Elder has three victories and an MPM of 4.00 in three career starts against the Rockies. He beat Colorado on April 28 after a passage of six heats in which he authorized three points and five strokes.
The right -hander has just released his best start of the season on Saturday in San Francisco despite a conduct for a decision without a decision. He launched eight rounds and granted a point on three strokes and no promenade while recording a career summit of 12 stick withdrawals.
It was the deepest he presented in a match since he launched a six -stroke bleaching on September 26, 2022 against the Washington Nationals. It was the seventh consecutive departure in which Elder granted three points or less, but the brave would lose 3-2.
