Ge Vernova adds $ 80 million to modernize the infrastructure of the Pennsylvania electricity network

Ge Vernova, GE energy spin-off, invests an additional $ 80 million in its flagship factory of grid solutions in Pennsylvania over the next two years to modernize the electricity network and meet growing demand.

In addition to his installation of Charleroi, Ge Vernova announced Tuesday that it had received approval to provide seven of its high -efficiency natural gas turbines in Homer City, which was previously the largest power plant of Pennsylvania coal. The rapid increase in electricity demand is mainly motivated by the data centers necessary for the training, deployment and management of artificial intelligence models, according to Flynn and Rob Thummel, principal director of Tortoise Capital portfolio.

Phil Flynn, a senior energy analyst in Price Futures Group and Fox Business contributor, said that electricity consumption of the data center had tripled at 176 hours from Terawatt in the last decade and can double or triple in the three years.
