(Reuters)-The actions of the Franker group jumped by 15% on Tuesday, because investors are betting that the ultra-en-computing carrier would increase more market share after the second bankruptcy of the main Rivals Spirit Airlines in months and plans to reduce the routes.
The stock was on the right track for its best day in more than five months, stressing the expectations that the agitation of the mind could reshape the industry of American budget airlines and the border of the hands a competitive advantage.
Deutsche Bank analysts said they considered the border as better placed to benefit from Spirit’s bankruptcy, given the overlap of the two airlines. The brokerage also improved its note to “buy” “hold”.
Spirit filed a bankruptcy file on Friday for the second time in a year after a previous reorganization has failed to put it on a firmer financial basis.
While the carrier based in Florida – which emerged from its first bankruptcy in March – plans to continue to fly, he declared that he would narrow his footprint in certain markets and would reduce his fleet to reduce debt and rental obligations.
“Generally, part of Spirit’s capacity is likely to be deleted, which underlines the pressure on the internal market, in particular the main cabin, at a time when domestic demand also improves the strong overflows earlier in the year,” said Raymond James analyst, Savanthi Syth, in a note.
Frontier has the largest seat that overlaps with Spirit, although questions remain on the question of whether ultra-shows carriers can maintain their business model as costs increase.
The airline, which has expanded its network, recently announced 20 new routes for the winter season and has deployed offers aimed at creating loyalty and attracting rivals passengers.
However, analysts said that full service carriers such as United Airlines and Delta Air were better equipped on the changing American aviation market.
