Florida judge suspended after the investigation revealed inappropriate jokes on the bench

A judge of the Broward County Circuit Circuit, Florida, will be suspended in force next week after an advisory jury of the Supreme Court of the State determined that he was unfit to serve after having told “exceptionally bad jokes”, was biased and had poor attendance.
The judicial files show that the inquiry of the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission (FJQC) suspends the judge of the court of the Broward circuit, Gary Farmer, a former senator and democrat of the state of Florida, of his functions without salary, pending a disposition hearing.
The suspension comes into force 11:59 p.m. on Monday.
The decision comes about a month after the FJQC recommended the farmer’s suspension.

A panel of the Supreme Court of Florida concluded that the judge of the Circuit Court of the Broward County, Gary M. Farmer Jr. (Legislative Assembly of the Florida State)
The commission panel called for an investigation in October 2024 on the comments made by Farmer. After a probable cause hearing in December 2024, the panel determined that there was a probable cause to continue the investigation.
The survey discovered several cases in which the farmer did what some would consider inappropriate remarks.
“Thanks to his poor conduct, occurring over a long period, Judge Farmer damaged the perception of the public of the judiciary and the judicial branch in such a way that he has demonstrated a present incapacity to serve,” said investigators.
According to allegations, Farmer presided over a crime case on August 15, 2024 and was informed that the accused expected the birth of three children.

Documents say that farmers have laughed at the man who was waiting for three children with different women.
“Ok, you were busy. You just turned everywhere!” The farmer said to the man. “It is good. Do you know their names? First and last? Romantic, are you? Do not talk about Jane to Susie. Do not speak to Jane de Mary. May God bless you, guy.
Farmer would have later declared to the defendant that he was going to release him in projection.
“I will order that you wear a condom at any time,” Farmer to the accused told. “For your good, ok? Probation will check. No, I’m kidding. I’m kidding.”

He also told Smith to sing “She gets her peaches in Georgia” and “You get your bad grass in California”. The farmer then apologized to one of the lawyers, telling him that making him laugh was a challenge.
Farmer presided over another crime case when he would have referenced and cited “largely” with a comedy sketch “in living color” mocking homosexuals.

“Apparently, these are some of what you have called your” exceptionally unjustly bad jokes “,” said the court file.
In addition to telling “exceptionally bad” jokes, Farmer was accused of having devoted his full time and his participation in his judicial functions after having exceeded 30 days of judicial leave that he is authorized to take.
He has also been accused of not respecting and complying with the law by refusing regular procedure for litigants and lawyers and demonstrating a bias or predetermination for certain cases.
Farmer did not immediately respond to the request for comments from Fox News Digital on the issue.
However, the lawyer for Farmer filed an answer to the court after the recommendation of a suspension, claiming that Farmer “generally admits having made jokes or remarks”.

The avocado added that some jokes were “broken”. After thinking about the question, Farmer found that they were “inappropriate”.
