Five soldiers shot the Georgia military base, suspect in detention

Five soldiers were injured in a shooting incident at Fort Stewart, a military base in the American state of Georgia, officials confirmed.
The military base said that a suspect was in detention and that the injured soldiers had been treated on the spot before being transferred to the hospital for subsequent treatment. We don’t know how serious injuries are.
There is no more threat to the community, officials said, although they have not provided more details on the shooter.
The shooting took place at around 240 miles (386 km) southeast of Atlanta.
The shared video on social networks shows the military staff evacuating from the scene.
The police were alerted from a shooting at 10:56 a.m. (3:56 p.m. GMT) and the shooter was apprehended at 11:35 a.m.
The White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Donald Trump had been informed of the shooting.
“The White House monitors the situation,” she wrote in an article on X.
The FBI office in Atlanta said they were aware of the incident.
Governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, said that he was in “close contact” with the police on the ground.
“We keep the victims, their families and all those who answer the call to serve in our hearts and our prayers, and we ask Georgians around the world,” he said.
Congress member, Buddy Carter, whose district includes Fort Stewart, said that he was “monitored the situation”.
“Please join me in prayers for the victims, their families and the courageous agents of the law application working to protect our community,” he wrote on Twitter.
At nearly 280.00 acres, Fort Stewart is the largest base in the American army east of Mississippi and is home to nearly 10,000 people.
It is located in Hinesville, a seaside town at around 40 miles (64 kilometers) southwest of Savannah.
