There are two days left for the release of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meristarring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, and the excitement is slowly building thanks to its new look, youthful appeal, music and casting. Pre-booking of the film started this weekend and in this article, Bollywood Hungama will inform readers about the demand made by the in-house distribution team of Dharma Productions in front of single-screen cinemas and multiplexes.

A trade source said Bollywood Hungama“The team of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri are aware that Dhurandhar is still unstoppable and will continue to find a large audience at Christmas, when his film arrives in theaters. They also know that Avatar: Fire and Ashes has occupied several shows and screens. This is why they asked for a fair and modest development, keeping in mind the realities.
The source continued: “The cast team of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri requested a minimum of 2 shows in theaters with 1 screen. In plexes with 2 screens, they asked for 5 shows. Multiplexes with 3, 4, 5 and 6 screens must respectively broadcast 6, 8, 12 and 14 programs per day. Finally, for multiplexes of 7 screens or more, the film team requested 16 screenings. This is the minimum number of shows they requested.
The source further said, “Despite these fair demands, the film team is finding it difficult to get the desired number of showings. As of December 23 at 9 am, only theaters with 4 and above additional halls have opened bookings, that too in a single hall. Single screen and 2 and 3 hall cinemas are yet to start ticket sales as negotiations are still ongoing. Fortunately, Avatar: Fire and Ashes was not shown on single screens and therefore these cinemas must split shows only between Dhurandhar and romantic comedy. But even this proves to be a challenge because the demand for Dhurandhar simply does not diminish even after 18 days. Furthermore, both Dhurandhar And Avatar: Fire and Ashes are films lasting more than 3 hours. So, in multiplexes, dividing screenings between the three films will also prove to be a challenge.
An industry insider commented, “We have seen distributors being unreasonable and forcing theaters to give 100% showcase to their films. Keeping this in mind, kudos to Karan Johar and his team for being reasonable and practical and not asking for too many shows. Also, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri stars a rising star like Kartik Aaryan and it belongs to a genre that has a lot of takers. So we hope that theaters will give this film a chance.
