Eric Dier leaves Bayern Munich

Eric Dier will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season after having decided not to sign a new contract with the leaders of Bundesliga.
The English international joined the German giants, initially on loan, from Tottenham in January 2024 before signing a 12 -month contract last summer.
However, he had trouble for the regular playing time under Vincent Kompany this season, having only made 13 starts in the Bundesliga and three in the Champions League among 25 appearances in total.
He decided not to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena and will become a free agent.
Friday, sports director Christoph Freund said at a press conference: “We had discussions with Eric about a new contract.
“He told us that he did not want to extend and leave us.
“He’s a great guy. We had a good time together. I hope he crown his time with us with his first title.”
Dier seems to leave Bayern with the first piece of silverware in his career, with the men of Kompany capable of sealing the title of Bundesliga with a victory over RB Leipzig this weekend.
His former Spurs Star colleague, Harry Kane, also decided to end his trophy drought, will miss the match due to a suspension of a match.
