England ends up “excellent week” with a swing victory

The manager of England, Thomas Tuchel, was a happy man after seeing his team extend his perfect start to the World Cup qualifications with a 5-0 victory in Serbia.
Harry Kane, Noni Madueke, Ezri Konsa, Marc Guehi and Marcus Rashford all found the net while the three Lions presented themselves in Belgrade.
England has become the first team to score five goals in a competition outdoors against Serbia, which has undergone home defeat in a qualifier of the World Cup for the first time since 2012.
Tuchel told ITV Sport: “I am more than happy for the team and the staff. We had a great week from start to finish. We have just proven what I saw every day in this camp and it makes me very happy.
“We have played with great intensity, a lot of work in teamwork and we have shown our quality. We have kept Serbia in no way on the target and you have to devote a lot of work to do it, a lot of intensity and the invisible work for which you do not get praise. It’s good to look.
“Each match is different. We had a meeting at the start of the week. We only had three weeks of training and it is normally half a pre-season.
“It takes time and between the two, there are weeks of break. The players made excellent. The credit goes to them, they made incredible – it’s the bar. ”
England needs five points of their last three qualifications to reach the final of the next summer World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
‘We made them appear on average’
Captain Kane felt that his team showed more of their real colors after another pedestrian display against Andorra at Villa Park last weekend.
He said, “We have shown our level today. Even in the other games, we did well, but we did not reach the superior form.
“We scored five and made it comfortable. We can be proud of ourselves. It was a big camp and we are in an excellent position.
“We thought we had a good performance a few days ago. I know that it was not the performance that everyone was excited, but we did what we owed.
“Serbia is a good team, and we made them appear on average tonight.”
