England 4-0 Netherlands-Report, result and objectives as the lionesses keep the Euro 2025 hope in life

England delivered a dominant demonstration to keep its hopes with direct elimination of Euro 2025 with a convincing 4-0 victory against the Netherlands in group D.
Lauren James’ goals, Georgia Stanway and Ella Toone – as well as a masterful performance of Alessia Russo – raised the lionesses with three vital points after an unequal start of the tournament.
The tone was fixed early in a packaged stadium because England has not waste time to assert their attack on attack. Lauren James had already missed a chance in the first minutes and Russo also nodded at close range before the breakthrough arrived in the 22nd minute.
Alessia Russo, who was at the heart of a large part of the room before England, chose James in the center of the box. The Chelsea star was not confronted, rivaling a left foot in the upper corner for 1-0.
England’s confidence has visibly increased after opening, and it borne fruit just before half-time. After a sustained pressure, Stanway doubled his head with an astonishing long -term effort from the outside of the box.

On the hour, England had indeed ended the competition. Lauren James caught her second and the third in the 60th minute of England, calmly passing Daphne Van Domselaar after a defensive lance left her without marked in the middle of the region.
Seven minutes later, England added a fourth. Russo again transformed the supplier, Carré le Ballon for Ella Toone who slipped a low left feet finish at close range to crown a move from the dominant team.
The objective was the first in the Toone tournament and underlined the depth of attack in England, while their three circles of departure field put themselves on the match sheet.
Managerial substitutions followed by England turned with confidence. Aggie Beever-Jones, Chloe Kelly, Beth Mead, Grace Clinton and Niamh Charles all left the bench while Sarina Wiegman sought to manage the minutes and preserve energy before the last group match.
Despite a burst of late faults and some Dutch corners, England remained disciplined and saw the game comfortably.
The white sheet – thanks in part to the solid defensive performance of Jess Carter, Alex Greenwood and Lucy Bronze – was a welcome bonus.
England is now heading for its last group match against Wales, knowing that a victory will almost certainly seal a place in direct elimination towers, while the Netherlands must win a victory against France.
