Fernando Tatis Jr. opened a tight match on Saturday with a three-point circuit and the San Diego Padres equalized their weekend series against the Royals of Kansas City on visit, winning a 5-1 victory.

Tatis broke a sequence of 101 appearances on the plates without a circuit, dating from May 27, making a quick ball of Taylor Clarke at 380 feet in the seats in the field of the center left with two withdrawals.
