Dolphins Wr Tyreek Hill has knee surgery at the end of the season

Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, underwent a “major knee procedure” on Tuesday to repair its torn ACL and other ligament damage, confirmed coach Mike McDaniel.
Hill will at least miss the rest of the 2025 season after dislocating his left knee and suffered from ligament tears in the victory of Monday 27-21 on New York Jets.
McDaniel told journalists that he had heard “good things” about any nervous damage to Hill’s knee and said that the Bowler Pro of eight times may not need more surgeries beyond Tuesday.
“It was not tried beyond this operation and we hope that this is going well,” said McDaniel. “But no, it was not explained (that several surgeries are) an absolute necessity. It is simply executing this procedure and seeing what is happening from there.”
Hill was injured when he caught a pass of 10 yards from Tua Tagovailoa near the New York touch line with 13:21 to do in the third trimester. His leg twisted as he left limits, and Hill immediately caught the knee.
While being transported with an aerial sunk on his leg, Hill hit the hands several times, smiles and laughs in response to the crowd.
“It was probably the best mood of all the players I have ever – it’s just such a terrible experience when you go out and see the guys when they have problems like that,” said McDaniel immediately after the match. “But he immediately had wide eyes and spoke:” I’m fine. Just make sure that guys get this victory. “He was focused on the team.”
These high spirits continued on Tuesday, when Hill published a video on social networks showing him in a hospital bed before his operation.
“Keep your boy in your prayers,” said Hill. “You were great, guy. Fine nation, just the whole NFL was incredible, sending me a lot of love, a lot of prayers. I am absolutely honored.”
Hill, 31, had six receptions for 67 yards before leaving. He has 21 receptions for 265 yards and a hit in four games this season.
Hill is in his fourth season with the Dolphins after playing his first six campaigns with the Chiefs. Hill helped Kansas City win the Super Bowl after the 2019 season. He is an All-Pro from the first team five times which was selected in the Temple Professional Football Temple team as a cleaner of clearance.
