While the Los Angeles Dodgers are getting closer to their 12th title of the West National League in 13 seasons, a large part of their damage in 2025 came against their greatest rival.

The Dodgers (87-67) will continue their ninth victory this season on the Giants of San Francisco (76-78) when the teams meet for the third competition of a series of four games on Saturday in Los Angeles.

On Friday, the Dodgers won a 6-3 victory against the Giants while Gaucher Clayton Kershaw made the last start at home of the regular season of his career. Kershaw granted two points on four safe in 4 1/3 sleeves with six stick withdrawals and made four goals on unusual bullets.

Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts struck consecutive circuits while Los Angeles won his 13th place in the playoffs on Friday. The magic number of the Dodgers to win the NL West title for the 12th time in 13 seasons is four.

“It’s such an incredible group of guys and we have a lot of work to do,” said Kershaw in the broadcast of Apple TV. “The first step tonight, we arrived in the playoffs. But it will be really fun next month.”

The next for Los Angeles on Saturday is the right-hander Tyler Glasnow (3-3, 3.06 ERA), which has reached a new level in September by granting two points combined on three strokes in two departures (13 2/3 innings). One of these outings was seven rounds without cuts on September 8 against Colorado Rockies.

The following departure occurred in San Francisco on Sunday, when Glasnow granted a point on three strokes in 6 1/3 rounds despite its assertion that the time for its delivery was far from ideal. It is 4-1 with an MPM of 3.12 in seven career appearances (six departures) against the giants.

The bursting of success came after a back injury that forced the house in Glasnow prematurely from a trip on the road earlier in the month. No serious problem has been revealed. He also missed in May and June with inflammation of the shoulders.

“I think where I have since returned to Il, it was easier to put it out of my head and to compete,” said Glasnow about the nights where his pitching arsenal is not at its best. “If my things (stinking), that’s a bit anything. Contive, try to get into the area, get a low contact. It’s useful.”

The Giants decided right-handed Kai-Wei Teng (2-4, 6.41) as a starter for Saturday. Teng, who has not yet faced the Dodgers in 11 career apparitions (six departures), had a start of four rounds against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday and abandoned an unprecedented race on two strokes.

After scoring a point on a safe hit during the opening of Thursday’s series, the Giants equaled this with their first striker on Friday when Heliot Ramos completed a Home Run on the third launch of Kershaw. San Francisco ended the evening with eight strokes for seven for Dodgers.

The Giants made a boost qualifying in early September when they won 11 victories in 12 games, but are now four games from the last place of the NL joker with eight games to play. They would need to jump over three teams to make the playoffs.

“This is how we were. We were a little Jekyll and Hyde. We were really good or really bad for stretching,” said Giants manager Bob Melvin. “Unfortunately, this was the case. We don’t have much time left.”
