Danone US recalls Yocruns yogurts at the risk that the dome toppers of the products can have plastic pieces inside.
The company said that all Yocrunch flavors and sizes “currently on the market” are subject to the recall.
The details of the different types of recalled yogurt products and their expiration dates have been listed in Danone’s reminder notice published Monday on the Food and Drug Administration website. The expiration dates vary this month on the dates in September, according to the specific product.

Danone said that in a press release, “takes each experience with consumers seriously and initiates this voluntary recall in accordance with its commitment to the quality of product safety and consumer safety”.

The recall was stimulated by certain consumers saying that they have discovered plastic parts in the top of Yocrunch products, said the FDA reminder notice.
The transparent plastic parts, which could be clear and be between 7 and 25 millimeters long in some cases, “have the potential to cause suffocation”, according to the opinion.
The possible presence of plastic parts is “insulated only at the topper wrapped separately” which comes with Yocrunch yogurts, said the company.
