Daniel Vettori identifies why SRH could not reproduce the heroic IPL last season | Cricket news

Sunrisers Hyderabad have been eliminated from affirmations of the IPL 2025 qualifying series after their abandoned match against the Capitals of Delhi. (Years)
Hyderabad Sunrisers coach Daniel Carriers Addressed to the disappointing IPL 2025 campaign of the team following its washing against the capitals of Delhi in Hyderabad on Monday. After starting as a pioneer with an aggressive striker approach, SRH only managed three victories in 11 games, Vettori citing unexpected play conditions and delicate surfaces as key factors in their performance.
Hyderabad’s homeland conditions were difficult this season, the teams crossing the 200 -point brand in just four of the 11 rounds, against seven in 12 times last year.

“I certainly did not say after each match that I have an aggressive approach. I said that we were in the evaluation of the conditions and this year, the conditions were not as we expected. If you watch last year, there were a lot of games with a strong score here,” said Vettori at the post-match press conference.
“These in particular surfaces were a little different. It was delicate, it was not easy for the strikers. Everything we talked about was to assess the conditions, to try to read the game and to understand what to do in certain situations. I think the guys are innovatively aggressive, but certainly, this season was to try to establish what was necessary on the day,” he added.
The coach has developed the variable nature of throws this season, with two surfaces supporting high scores while others have favored rapid quests.
“There have been two areas that were over 250 years old, and there were four here which were probably more conducive to quick quesors. Not so much the spinners, but the new ball was a little sticky, difficult to strike, without coming to the stick. The IPL has some of the best new ball bowlers in the world, and they were able to exploit these conditions,” said Vettori.

The hopes of the SRH qualifying series were destroyed after washing against DC, where they had limited the opposition to 133/7 before the rain intervention.
“Obviously, it is disappointing. We entered with great hopes, but we were not consistent enough with our performances. I told you several times, just being able to be able to bring together full performance. Today was the beginning of a full performance, it is therefore frustrating that we cannot finish it, but it is Cricket,” said Vettori.
Captain Pat Cummins showed an impressive form, taking 3/19, including a counter on the first ball, removing Karun Nair. The decision to drop Mohammed Shami, who fought with six counters in nine games with an average of 56.16, was based on conditions.
“It was obviously a difficult season so far for Shami. But he has worked exceptionally hard in the background. We have just seen, especially on this Hyderabad counter, this is the best makeup of this team for us,” said Vettori about Shami’s exclusion.
Praising the versatility of Cummins, Vettori said: “If you look at his overall performance, he was able to be a counter. He played [in] A number of different roles for us. He was able to mix and match according to whom was selected from the team. Today, I think it was the first [second] It’s time for him to take the first and you can see why he is a dominant test test launcher when he on the occasion. It is pleasant for him to be able to present himself today and to play so well and to drive the team exceptionally well. Hopefully this is the last three games of the season. “”
