Daniel Radcliffe to cast new spell on Broadway with iconic one-man show

Broadway says “Accio Daniel Radcliffe”. (Accio is the Summoning Charm, a spell used to magically summon an object towards the spellcaster in the Harry Potter universe)

The Harry Potter star returns to Broadway with a new performance in Every Brilliant Thing.

He is set to star in the premiere of Duncan Macmillan’s acclaimed one-man play with Jonny Donahoe.

Previews begin February 21, 2026 at the Hudson Theater, with an opening night scheduled for March 12. The strictly limited engagement runs until May 24.

The Jeremy Herrin and Macmillan-directed play follows a man sharing a list of “all the brilliant things” that make life worth living. He looks back fondly on the many little joys that kept him going.

Radcliffe returns to the stage for the one-man show, which has been performed in more than 80 countries, after two years.

Tony winner Awatd was last on Broadway in the acclaimed 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along.

The production, which also starred Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez, earned Radcliffe his first Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

Notably, Every Brilliant Thing will be the 36-year-old heartthrob’s sixth Broadway credit.

The actor made his debut in Equus in 2008 opposite the late Richard Griffiths, followed by starring roles in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (2011), The Cripple of Inishmaan (2014) and The Lifespan of a Fact and Private Life (2018).

In London’s West End, Radcliffe appeared in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Endgame alongside Alan Cumming.
