Dancing With the Stars 20th Anniversary Party Recap: Who Came Home?

Dancing with the stars burst balloons, streamers and lots of fanfare to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ballroom competition.
To kick off the Tuesday, November 11 episode, judge (and former pro) Derek Hough choreographed a stunning routine featuring the original six DWTS dancers from season 1 of 2005: Alec Mazo, Ashly DelGrosso, Jonathan Roberts, Charlotte Jorgensen, Edyta Śliwińska And Louis van Amstel.
The quarter-finalists then each performed a new routine inspired by an old one DWTS the freestyle of the champion. Robert Irwinfor his part, made everyone cry when he honored his sister Bindi Irwinseason 21’s dedication to their late father, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.
“For me, tonight was about this legacy of wildlife conservation that I represent,” Robert said emotionally just before getting the first perfect score of the season. “Every time I step on that floor, I represent my dad and his message and what he stands for. I just want to make him proud. He’s my hero.”
After the first round of competition, the stars (except for Whitney Leavittwho won immunity last week) swapped professional partners for a former disco ball winner in the relay dances. Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron and Robert, respectively, proved victorious.
Despite the exemplary routines, Andy Richter And Emma Slater were finally eliminated just before the semi-finals.
Dancing with the stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Scroll down to see each couple’s 20th anniversary party scores:
