An English club tries to sign a flop with Rangers who Martin called a ‘stupid’

A Rangers player Danny Rohl doesn’t rate could be set to leave Ibrox due to Championship interest, according to recent reports.

Rohl hails Rangers’ ‘fantastic’ response

After back-to-back draws against Falkirk and Dundee United, Rangers could not afford to drop points in the Scottish Premiership again. They have improved a lot since Rohl’s arrival, but another day without a win would have sparked all-too-familiar concerns around Glasgow.

The German and his Rangers side, however, bounced back from those draws in style against Kilmarnock. With a brace from Bojan Miovski to accompany Mikey Moore’s effort, the Gers sealed a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Rohl shared his joy at full-time, but also urged Rangers to “develop” their “game management” – telling reporters: “From the first minute tonight, I knew the fans were behind the team. We must do it together.

“I think looking back on the whole week, Bojan Miovski had a good performance on Wednesday. I’m glad Mikey [Moore] is back but overall it was a whole team performance.

“We have to develop our game management, but tonight we had a fantastic reaction and now we have five wins out of seven, so it’s a good step forward. We have to keep going, everyone wants to win against us or take something from us. It’s a difficult championship, so we have to work.”

This would be a good time for those at Ibrox to hit top form, given the frenzy of the festive period and with the January transfer window now less than a month from opening.

The winter window represents Rohl’s first chance to make an impact on his team and there have already been rumors that he is looking for a clinical striker.

Arrivals are unlikely to come without departures, however, and Kieran Dowell is among those who could be heading for the exit door at Ibrox.

Hull City keen to sign Kieran Dowell

According to Alan Nixon on his Patreon, Hull City are now interested in signing Dowell in the January transfer window. The midfielder has yet to feature under Rohl, who clearly does not rate him, and now appears destined to leave on loan in just under a month.

That’s the story of Dowell’s Rangers career, but he has to act between now and January.

The 28-year-old was offered some hope when Russell Martin arrived and immediately jumped to his defense, saying: “And by the way, he really, really tries every day to train like an absolute beast, which, I don’t think some people came to this club and were bought for a lot of money, and I don’t think they did that.”

Miovski-Rangers

Not just Miovski: Rohl must let go of the flop of the Rangers who lost 86% of duels

Danny Rohl should mercilessly drop this Rangers flop as well as Bojan Miovski tonight.

However, any hopes of a Rangers revival have now evaporated, with Rohl seemingly ready to bid farewell to the flop midfielder who has struggled since his arrival in 2023.
