Tyson Fury warns Oleksandr Usyk to stay away from heavyweight: ‘He will destroy you’

Oleksandr Usyk has plenty of options until 2026, but Tyson Fury has warned him there is one man he should stay away from.
In 2025, boxing fans have only seen Usyk once – in July, when he emphatically stopped Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium. The fifth-round knockout not only made him a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion, but also served as a statement to the rest of the division.
Last year, Fury lost twice to Usyk, 24-0 (15 KOs), in memorable clashes in Riyadh, but the ‘Gypsy King’ used Instagram to incite a Brit to end the Ukrainian’s historic reign.
“I keep getting asked about young Moses Itauma fighting Oleksandr Usyk and fighting all the other big names.
“Boxing is a young man’s game. It waits for no one. So here’s the opinion, and you heard it here first.
“Moses Itauma will take out all these old men in the division. Usyk, AJ, Miller. Whoever’s there is old. Zhang, whoever else, Luis Ortiz. All these great names from the past.”
Fury, 34-2-1 (24 KO), doubled down on his statement by specifically singling out Usyk.
“Even the man who took my belts – Usyk. Moses will destroy him because it’s a young man against an old man. And an old man can’t go after a young man.”
Itauma, 13-0 (11 KOs), is well on his way to a maiden world title shot, having knocked out former Fury opponent Dillian Whyte in ruthless fashion three months ago. However, it may be until 2026 before fans see the return of the 20-year-old heavyweight phenom.
