The Chicago Cubs will seek to extend their success in the season series against the visit of the national enemy of the National League Milwaukee in the second match of a three game set on Wednesday evening.

Chicago, who leads the Brewers of second place of 6 1/2 games in the division, improved at 3-1 against Milwaukee this season with a 5-3 victory on Tuesday.

The Cubs outclassed the Brewers 21-9 during their four meetings this year, with the green light from Seiya Suzuki, three points in the fifth round serving in difference in the opening of the series on Tuesday.

In pace for its greatest number of victories since 2016, Chicago has an offense that ranks second in Total Runs (390), behind the Los Angeles Dodgers (413). Suzuki launched his 18th season for the season on Tuesday before Pete Crow-Armstong connected the 19th of the year in the eighth.

“I think we see a central field player who plays at such a high level that I have never seen a central field field playing,” said Cubs Craig Counsell about Crow-Armstrong, 23. “I know that we are only about 70 games, but the way he plays is as good as I saw him.”

The manager was just as complementary about Suzuki.

“Seiya delivers. We put guys on the basis in front of him, and he brings them,” said Counsell.

The 61 Suzuki produced points ranked second in the majors behind the 63 by Pete Alonso of the New York Mets. Crow-Armstong is equal to sixth in 58 years.

Associated with the impressive offensive production, the Cubs pitch staff granted only 10 points in the last five games, reducing the team’s era to 3.56 – third best in the National League.

On Wednesday, the right-hander of the Cubs Jameson Taillon (7-3, 3.48 ERA) should make its 15th start of the season while trying to extend a sequence of victories in five things.

Taillon made at least 6 1/3 innings in each of its last five outings. This included last Thursday, when the veteran granted two deserved points and withdrew seven strokes on a 3-2 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

A longtime central rival of the NL of Milwaukee as a member of the pirates and cubs, Taillon is 5-9 with an MPM of 3.13 in 19 appearances (18 departures) against the Brewers.

For Milwaukee, the recruit Jacob Miriorowski (1-0, 0.00 ERA) will start his second career on Wednesday after five rounds without cuts during his debut in the major league against the Cardinals of Saint-Louis on Thursday.

Miriorowski, 23, withdrew five years and won four in a 6-0 victory in Milwaukee before leaving after riding his ankle after his 81st launch of the match.

Fortunately for the Brewers, one of the best prospects for pitching baseball avoided a serious injury and will seek to prolong his impressive start to his career in the big league.

“I just exaggerated, and that’s where I drove it, so everything is fine,” said Miriorowski about his ankle. “I didn’t want to leave like that, and I had the impression that I could have continued, but things like that happen.”

The best 6 -inch starter of the 7 -inch starter reached 102.2 MPH – one of the 14,100 mi / h more throws during its beginnings.

“I was very amplified and I had to relax when I went out for the second round,” said Miriorowski. “This is how I launch. Each terrain, I try to launch 100%. I think it is one of those things with which I will have to work.”
