Crystal Palace interested in move for striker Sidiki Cherif

Crystal Palace are reportedly positioning themselves to make a move for highly-rated teenage striker Sidiki Cherif, with the Premier League club stepping up plans to strengthen their attacking options in the near future.
According to a report from French newspaper Le Parisien, the Eagles have identified the 19-year-old as a potential long-term solution from the outset and could look to formalize their interest as early as next year.
Palace’s recruitment strategy is increasingly focused on finding top young talent capable of becoming first-team regulars.
As the club evaluates its forward line ahead of the upcoming transfer windows, Cherif has emerged as an attractive option due to his profile, age and rapid development in Ligue 1.
Crystal Palace want to make an attacking addition
The south London side are said to be keen to add a striker capable of playing in that role rather than relying solely on established names.
Currently plying his trade at Angers SCO, Cherif is one of the most notable attacking talents in French football.
Despite his young age, the center forward impressed scouts with his movements, his composure in front of goal and his physical presence.
His ability to play on the shoulder of defenders, linking play and attacking space has drawn comparisons with other modern strikers who have made the jump from League One to the Premier League in recent years.
Crystal Palace’s interest is not exclusive. The report also notes that at least one Bundesliga club is closely monitoring Cherif’s progress, demonstrating the growing competition for his signature.
With several leagues following his development, Angers is well aware of the value of his asset and should play hardball in negotiations.
Palace offers reasonable price for Ligue 1 striker

Financially, Angers would expect a sum of around 25 to 30 million euros to part with the teenage prospect.
This valuation reflects not only Cherif’s current performance but also his potential resale value if he continues his upward trajectory.
From Cherif’s point of view, a move to the Premier League could be attractive. Crystal Palace can offer a clear pathway to first-team football, a competitive environment and a reputation for providing young players with opportunities at the highest level.
However, Angers would prefer to keep him at least until his development is further along, unless their valuation is satisfied.
