Sonu Sood, largely congratulated for her humanitarian efforts during the COVVI-19 crisis and often called Messiah, is now confronted with a criticism for recent video. In the clip, the actor promotes road safety, but we see driving a motorcycle without a helmet or any protective equipment. This has not only triggered a counterpoup, but also led to legal problems, the Spiti police having launched an investigation into the issue.

In the viral video, Sonu Sood is seen leading a motorcycle through the snowy roads of Spiti, shirtless and dressed only in shorts and sunglasses. The clip, shared by a local Instagram page, was subtitled: “It’s Spiti … Only the real ones do it here.” While the video was gaining ground online, many Internet users began to question its credibility and participation in the road safety campaign.
Meanwhile, Lahaul-Spiti police launched an investigation into the issue and published an official declaration. It is read as follows: “A video becomes viral on social networks in which a Bollywood actor is seen violating traffic rules in the Lahaul-Spiti district. The preliminary results suggest that the video can come from 2023. The investigation to check its authenticity has been attributed to the DYSP headquarters, Kyelang.” The press release has also added: “The district police will take all the necessary judicial measures if necessary. We urge all citizens and tourists to comply with traffic regulations and maintain disciplined and responsible driving. ”
While criticism rose online, social media users began to call Sonu Sood for its actions. A user commented: “Sir, you have always inspired people from your compassion. Please do not give a bad example by driving without headphones or appropriate safety equipment.” Another pointed out: “If this is how celebrities act in ecologically sensitive areas, what type of message do we send to young people?”
Earlier this year, Sonu spoke in favor of road safety when his wife was involved in a road accident but was saved due to the seat belt. He said: “There is a very important message. Last week, there was a major accident in Nagpur involving my wife, his nephew and his sister. The whole world saw the condition of the car after the accident. What saved them was the seat belt – is the only thing that made the difference.”
