Copenhagen airport reopens after drone observations

ReutersThe operations of Copenhagen airport will resume after the suspension of the flights for several hours after an observation of drones.
Between two and three large drones were seen flying in the area around Copenhagen airport, the authorities according to the authorities.
Takeoffs and landing at the airport was suspended for about four hours.
In a press release, the airport warned against delays and continuous cancellations and urged passengers to verify the status of their flight with their airlines.
A spokesperson for Copenhagen airport confirmed that the air space above the airport was closed around 8:30 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. BST) due to unidentified drones.
“No plane can take off or land at the airport, and therefore several flights are diverted to other airports,” they said in a statement.
“Police are investigating the issue and we must currently timer for the reopening.”
The Flightradar24 flight tracking website reported that at least 35 flights to Copenhagen had been diverted following the airport closure.
A drone was also observed near Oslo airport on Monday evening, Norwegian police confirmed local media NRK.
A police spokesman told NRK that he had “taken up” to locate the drone and had moved all air traffic to a single track for “security reasons”.
