Mass expulsion: Russia seeks to “eradicate Ukrainian identity, history and the whole country”

François Picard is very happy to welcome Mariam Lambert, co-founder and CEO of the Emile Foundation, to share the work of his life, “offering a better future for vulnerable children around the world”. His accent is current on Ukraine while his team confronts one of the darkest and least visible dimensions of the brutal invasion of Russia: forced elimination and the deportation of Ukrainian children. Founded in 2011 as an international charity organization, Emile’s mandate evolved in 2023 to focus directly on the repatriation and reintegration of Ukrainian minors who were removed from their family and forcibly sent to Russian territory. Ms. Lambert joined us following the address of President Zelensky in the United Nations training to draw attention to the mass deportation of children by Russia as a war.
