In the ghost comedy by Brad Silberling, “Casper”, Kat Harvey (Christina Ricci) and her widowed father James (Bill Pullman) move in a great frightening manor haunted by caricatured and destructive minds. Then his face turns, and he looks like Rodney Dangerfield. Then he turns again to look like Mel Gibson. Finally, and the most terrifying, he transforms to look like the guardian crypt of “tales from the crypt”. He screams and looks like the original vocal actor of the Garden Guard Crypt John Kassir.
This may surprise the reader to learn that the cameos of Eastwood, Dangerfield, Gibson and Kassir were all authentic, not the result of a stock of stock or fakery. The appearance of Clint Eastwood in “Casper”, as we could plan, came with stipulation. According to Syfy, Eastwood would only camed if the film’s executive producer, Steven Spielberg, also had a cameo in the same sequence of Morphing. Silberling and Spielberg both accepted.
