Gary Neville gives credit to Arteta for arsenal beating Newcastle

Arsenal’s dramatic victory today against Newcastle United has not only rekindled its title ambitions, but also attracted the praise of former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports expert Gary Neville.
Speaking after the final whistle, Neville underlined how the result could prove both for the Gunners and their manager, Mikel Arteta.
Only a week ago, Arsenal’s prospects seemed to be unleashed. A disappointing series of results had left the fans wondering if the Arteta team had resilience to follow the pace of its rivals Liverpool.
After achieving a goal against Newcastle United when Nick Woltemade scored, the Gunners had to fight the Eddie Howe team and they fought hard.
Mikel Merino’s second half goals and a winner of the 96th minute from Gabriel assured the three points for the Gunners of St. James’ Park and brought them only two points behind the leaders of the Liverpool League.

Neville was full of praise for the Gunners and Arteta after the match.
He said on Sky Sports:
“So large for Arsenal, so large for Arteta.
“A week ago, the glass was half empty, now it is half full.
“Liverpool loses, Arsenal wins breathtakingly.
“They deserve it, they were the best football team. He made very good submarines, he started with a solid team.
“It will give them huge confidence.”
A huge victory for the Gunners of St. James’ Park

With Liverpool weakening against Crystal Palace on the weekend, thanks to a late winner of the former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, and to the flowing confidence, the men of Arteta received the ideal opportunity to move forward.
The Premier League race promises to be an exciting battle between Liverpool and Arsenal, although it is too early to raft Manchester City, given their experience and their pedigree.
This weekend, however, belongs to Arsenal, for having won a match they lost and to fill the gap in the Arne Slot team.
Report: the agreement will be finalized shortly, Arsenal holding positive discussions with a star of 71 goals
