Members of the restaurant and hotel industry in Cincinnati published a statement following a violent fight that became viral on social networks last week.
The declaration was signed by 15 owners of several establishments, including Skyline Chili, the emblematic chain based in Cincinnati.
“As members of the Cincinnati restaurant and hotel industry, we have a broken heart and indignant by the recent violent incident that occurred in our city center. The video circulating from that night is disturbing, and like many in this city, we call for responsibility and decisive action,” said the press release.

“We are a united coalition – diverse in the background, in perspective and in political beliefs – but we stand together to condemn violence in any form. The security of our guests, our members of the team and the neighborhoods is non -negotiable. It is a fundamental expectation that we all share.”
The videos of the fight that occurred at the corner of Elm Street and the fourth street in the early hours of July 26 aroused national indignation. In largely circulated images, a mob is seen attacking two people, and a woman – identified later as a holly – is unconscious in the fray.

New sequences emerged on Saturday during which a racial insult is heard, but it is not clear who shouts it to whom the violence begins to take place.
Lawyer Brandon Fox, who represents the defendant Jermaine Matthews, told CB Cotton of Fox News that “it was not a black and racist crowd attacking people. These were separate fights that were triggered by racial insults who finally poured fire on fire”.
While the federal and local authorities still investigate the situation, four arrests were made as part of the fight.

In addition to Matthews, Montianez Merriweather, Dekyra Vernon and Dominique Kittle have also been arrested and face charges. Merriweather faces a criminal assault chief, a chief of assault for offense and an aggravated riot chief. His deposit was set at $ 500,000 in total. Vernon also faces accusations of criminal assault, tort assault and aggravated riots, but his total surety is $ 200,000.
Meanwhile, Kittle, which is accused of aggravated riots and tort attack, had its first appearance in court on Saturday. His deposit was set at $ 150,000. In addition, his lawyer said in the case that Kittle suffered from paranoid schizophrenia.
