“Hey everyone, Christina here,” she began. “If you told me a year ago that I would be on Instagram, I would have said, fuck you! But here I am, so I’m going to do it my way. Real, raw, honest.”

She explained that the photo, taken by her “lifelong friend @kevingrackle,” was one of her favorites in recent memory. “It was taken in my garden with chimes that remind me of my mother and a moon necklace from a dear witch friend,” she shared, signing off with “-C.”

The post, which has already been liked by Kelly Ripawas immediately met with love and enthusiasm from friends and fans. Alumni of “The Bachelor” Kaitlyn Bristowe commented, “Hell yeah,” while Minka Kelly wrote, “Glad to see you here,” and Carmen Electra added: “Glad you’re here.”

A frank return to the spotlight

Applegate’s social media debut comes as she continues to live with multiple sclerosis, a diagnosis she publicly revealed in 2021. The actress has been candid about the disease’s toll on her health, sharing that the physical symptoms became so severe that she decided to put her on-screen acting work on hold.

The “Anchorman” star’s last on-camera role was in the third and final season of Netflix’s “Dead To Me,” which concluded in 2022. Production schedules were adjusted to accommodate her condition, and Applegate’s performance, both vulnerable and powerful, earned critical praise for its emotional honesty.

In August, the “Dead to Me” star revealed she was hospitalized after developing a serious kidney infection that left her “screaming” in pain. The actress shared that the health problems began during a trip to Europe to visit family. “I felt fine for a few hours, then I had to lie down because my stomach was really hurting,” she recalls.
