Chris Jericho FINALLY Clarifies His AEW Status Amid WWE Return Rumors

Chris Jericho’s absence from AEW and rumors of a return to WWE have been the topic of much conversation. Amid the rapid discussions prevalent in the wrestling world, the Learning Tree has seemingly clarified its current status.
The first-ever undisputed champion’s final appearance in All Elite Wrestling took place in April. Since then, there has been constant speculation about his return to WWE, with Jericho himself fueling the rumors by dropping hints and references. Additionally, his AEW contract is set to expire at the end of this year.
During a recent appearance on NHL on TNT, Chris Jericho finally gave some major insight into his current status within the Jacksonville-based promotion. The former AEW World Champion first spoke about his ladder match with Shawn Michaels in WWE in 2009. He then changed the subject and reflected on All Elite star Jon Moxley while using the phrase “where I work now”, clarifying that he is still in Tony Khan’s company.
“It’s hard to say, but I had a ladder match with Shawn Michaels and that one was a really good highlight in the dynamic of good guys and bad guys. And then in AEW, where I work now, we have this guy Jon Moxley, he’s a little off his rocker.” – [H/T Ringside News]

Wrestling Veteran Should Have Interesting Storyline For Chris Jericho Amid WWE Rumors
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has floated the idea of a rivalry between Chris Jericho and equally charismatic and captivating star LA Knight if he returns to the Stamford-based promotion. Former WCW President Eric Bischoff liked the idea and thought it could last a year.
“Great. You can present this in an elevator in a 3 story building and walk away knowing you’ve developed a 12 month business plan,” he wrote.
As Jericho’s contract nears its expiration, it remains to be seen whether he will sign an extension with AEW or finally return to WWE, which would spark a loud noise.
