Reliable trade sources have confirmed that Disney has signed a 2-week deal with premium multiplexes to show the film during the Christmas and New Year period. A source said Bollywood Hungama“Avatar: Fire and Ashes will be screened in all premium multiplexes in 3D format during the festive period, and distributors in India have signed an exclusive 2-week agreement for 3D, IMAX 3D, ScreenX and 4DX formats. Faced with unprecedented public demand, cinemas have also agreed on this point.”
The film arrives on December 19, and Disney plans to open reservations well in advance. “Pre-sales of Avatar: Fire and Ash opened on December 5, 2025. All contracts are locked and creators are confident of achieving record results in advance bookings for the year in India.
For those who don’t know, Avatar: Way of Water had opened to Rs. 40 crores in India in 2022, and it would be interesting to see if Avatar: Fire and Ash can recreate the same magic.
