Chelsea star loved by Gianfranco Zola could join Leeds in January

Leeds have moved further away from the bottom three in recent weeks and 49ers Enterprises are now planning to strengthen the squad in the January transfer window.
The Whites will travel to Sunderland on Sunday knowing that a win would take them to 22 points before the halfway point of the season, keeping them on course to reach the vital 40-point mark.
Daniel Farke was under considerable pressure ahead of a run of matches including Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, but the emergence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin saw Leeds pick up eight points from their last 12 available.

Despite the former Everton striker’s incredible form, there is a feeling that the team still lacks creativity behind him, with no player having recorded more than two assists in the Premier League so far this season.
The 49ers group identified the problem this summer but couldn’t fix it, trying unsuccessfully to sign players like
Bilal El Khannouss and Facundo Good night.
Leeds were thought to be leading the race for Buonanotte at one point, but the Brighton star joined Chelsea on loan.
His move to Stamford Bridge didn’t work out, however, and there is now a feeling he could be on the move again during the winter window.
Leeds move could please Buonanotte
Indeed, writing for The Athletic, Beren Cross believes a move to Leeds could ‘please’ the player, having only played once in the top flight so far this season.
Leeds’ interest in the summer was serious and their desire for a number ten has not wavered, so a deal could make sense for all parties.
Although he doesn’t appear to be up to the task under Enzo Maresca, the Argentine, who scored five times while on loan at Leicester last season, has received praise from Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola.
“I really liked him when he played for Brighton.
“He is one of those players who can really change a game. It will be really interesting to see how he fits in at Chelsea.
“He’s a good player and he can really bring a lot of joy at Chelsea with the way we play, so I’m really looking forward to seeing him.”
Leeds are also expected to chase another centre-forward in January, with Calvert-Lewin known to suffer from injuries during his time at Everton.
Joshua Zirkzee, who is no longer in favor with Manchester United, could join in a £30million move.
Leeds could sign new Rutter in January but it will cost £35m
Daniel Farke could land his next Georginio Rutter at Leeds United by persisting in a deal for this unique striker.
