Michigan’s Hillsdale College pays tribute to Charlie Kirk, confirming that the conservative activist has followed dozens of their online courses before his death.
Founded in 1844, the “small classic liberal arts college” self-written “provides” “all those who wish to learn” the necessary education to preserve the civil and religious freedoms of America “, indicates its website. He launched his online program in 2011, and Kirk was one of the “more than 4.2 million Americans” who followed his courses which focus on history, politics, economics, philosophy and religion, etc.
“Without presumed to speak for Charlie, we believe that he was attracted by the independence of Hillsdale and his mission: to teach the truth and to live by Charlie followed around thirty our online courses,” said the associate vice-president of the media and public relations of Hillsdale, Emily Stack Davis, in a press release.

Davis said that the school had “received numerous calls offering support and prayers for Charlie” since his assassination on September 10.
The students of Hillsdale met for a “quiet vigil” after the news of the assassination of Kirk.

Beyond taking online lessons, Kirk has had a personal relationship with the president of Hillsdale College, Dr. Larry P. Arnn.
“After Charlie followed one of our online courses, succeeded in the exam, received his certificate, photographed himself with and sent me a text. Before his death, he did it several times. The dominant subject has always been something he wanted to know,” recruited RNA in a statement provided by the college.

Kirk spoke to the National Leadership Seminar of Hillsdale College in Phoenix in February. The college website currently offers a tribute image on its home page which connects a page “We remember Charlie Kirk”. The page includes a video message from RNA, in which he calls Kirk a “friend”.
“I have the privilege of knowing a lot, many young people, intelligent and serious,” said Arnn. “Charlie is one of the best I have ever seen. It is an honor to have known him.”
