Chad Johnson ditches Taylor Swift for $700,000,000 pop star to represent America in music

Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of the most popular WAGs in NFL history. But Chad Johnson believes she is no longer the personification of America in music.

On Thursday, in response to a photo question asking who a country’s musical representative was, the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver posted a GIF of multi-platinum, $700 million award-winning singer Beyoncé instead of Swift:

Beyoncé herself is no stranger to the NFL. In 2004, she performed the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII at the end of the 2003 season. Nine years later, she was the main act in the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show. And in 2016, she premiered “Formation,” the first single from her studio album “Lemonade,” during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show at the end of the 2015 season.

Most recently, she performed at halftime of last season’s Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens matchup, which was the first NFL game to be streamed on Netflix. The mini-concert received several Grammy nominations, winning for Outstanding Costume Design for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming.

Travis Kelce Praises ‘Magical’ Taylor Swift on New Heights Milestone

In August, Taylor Swift made headlines when she appeared on New Heights, the podcast hosted by her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce; and his older brother Jason.

This episode broke all kinds of viewing records, eventually being named one of the best of the year by Apple, as Jason announced on Wednesday:

“What beats that one? … There’s nothing f–king close to that. … Thank you, Apple, for putting us up there, doing nothing and just inviting the most famous person in the world to be on our show.”

Kelce, for his part, could only thank his fiancée:

“She’s so magical.”

In this episode, Swift discussed many topics. While focusing largely on her upcoming album “The Life of a Showgirl,” she also opened up about previously nebulous personal issues, like how she and Kelce met and the struggle to get back the original masters of her albums.

At one point, she even thanked the podcast for her life now:

“I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast helped me get a boyfriend, ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago.”
