North Korea Kim Jong made its debut for its daughter – and the potential successor – in the world

When North KoreaThe leader of Kim Jong Un has left his armored train in Beijing to attend celebrations marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War in Asia, his young Byughter Kim Surprised the cameras as she appeared and then followed by her side. Depending on 12 or 13 years old and called “beloved child” in the North Korean state media, it was his first known trip outside the country.

For occasional observers, the appearance of Kim Ju Ae on Tuesday could be considered a father-daughter liaison trip. But his arrival in China could be more than that: Kim Jong Une Jong UReports that it is in the mixture for future succession plans.

“Because when North Korea finalizes their successor process, they are used to bringing this successor to China,” said Park Won-Gon, professor of North Korean studies at Womans Ewha University and director of the Institute of Unification Studies in Seoul. “Showing them is a bit like their tradition.”

Kim Jong Un, Kim Jong Il, brought him to Beijing to present him as a successor when he would have been in mid-Vings. Kim Il Sung, the founder of the country, did the same for his son Kim Jong Il. The intention was to start establishing the next political relationship with Beijing for the future.

In recent years, Kim Ju Ae has appeared with his father during major public events in North Korea.

A challenge, however, is that Kim Ju Ae is a woman and that North Korea is a patriarchal society.

“We are not 100% because Kim Ju Ae is simply a 13 -year -old girl and not at all an adult. He is therefore too early to say that she is going (absolutely) the next successor,” said Park, “and Kim Ju Ae has no military experience.”

As for the trip of Kim Jong one himself, his visit to Beijing is a huge political victory on the world scene with his proximity choreographed with Chinese President Xi Jinping as proof. The two walked from the stride of stride before the show of China of a parade, then seated side by side, and in the center, in the Place Tiananmen as Chinese troops with past goose and as a new Chinese military material in the avenue of Eternal Peace.

“This is definitely Kim Jong’s political victory,” said Park. XI “chose Kim Jong one as the first role, then he shows his affection in the North Korean Kim Jong one in the world”.

Kim’s biggest victory, known as Park, is the “normalized relationship between North Korea and China” after six years without face to face. “And that will help North Korea in future discussions or dialogues with President Trump. I think it is possible that Trump is trying to meet Kim Jong one.”
