“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” will end in 2026, said CBS on Thursday.
“I discovered last night, next year will be our last season,” animator Stephen Colbert told his studio audience. “The network will end the late program in May.”
“This is not only the end of our show, but it is the end of the late show on CBS. I am not replaced. All this is leaving,” continued Colbert.
“” The Late Show with Stephen Colbert “will end his historic race in May 2026 at the end of the broadcast season,” CBS said in a statement. “We consider Stephen Colbert irreplaceable and retire the franchise” The Late Show “at the time.
