The presenter of CBS News, John Dickerson, said on Monday that the reason behind the assassination of the founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk remained “elusive”, despite information on the leftist ideology of the alleged suspect.
“Five days after the murder of Charlie Kirk, the shooter’s motive remains elusive,” said Dickerson on “CBS Evening News Plus.” “No writing left. Wave, used testimony, that uncertainty and the risk of drawing scanning conclusions suggest that murder can share a new violence, not led by an obvious political ideology. The FBI has recently recognized a new category: an obvious political ideology.”
Dickerson interviewed Matthew Kriner, Director of the Institute for Digital Teethles, who explained that nihilistic violent extremism is “motivated by a lack of singular ideological framework” and directed by individuals “who have enough of the world [and] Believe that there is no political solution. “”

Kriner added that the category also coincides with “neo-fascist acceleration”, defined as the push of societal collapse by violence, including terrorism.
Although the investigators did not confirm a reason, the FBI officials and the Governor of Utah Spencer Cox said that Tyler Robinson, 22, had become more and more radicalized after adopting a “left -wing ideology”. Parents and friends reported that Robinson had evolved politically after abandoning Utah State University.
Robinson would also have been disdaining for Kirk before the shooting. The authorities reported references engraved on the ammunition used to kill Kirk, including a message that said: “Hey, fascist! Catch!”

The Dickerson segment did not include this information.
Fox News Digital contacted CBS to comment but did not immediately receive an answer.
The FBI refused to comment.
Robinson is accused of having shot and killed Kirk while the 31 -year -old husband and the father of two young children was expressed during a USA Turning Point event at the University of Utah Valley on Wednesday.
