Bunnie Xo shares her current family plans with Jelly Roll

Bunnie Xo explains where she and her husband Jelly Roll are on their journey to expand their family.
The 45-year-old spoke about her Stupid Blonde podcast on November 2, where guest Maury Povich shared that he and his wife, Connie Chung, previously faced similar difficulties while trying to have a baby.
“We’ve been through the same things as you and Jelly Roll,” Povich told Bunnie, noting that they tried to get pregnant decades ago.
He recalled that Chung had even moved away from CBS at the time because their efforts had become very public. When they finally learned they “couldn’t do it,” the couple chose adoption, a decision they said was “the best” they could have made.
Bunnie, whose legal name is Alisa DeFord, openly offered to undergo IVF with the 40-year-old. The savages singer, born Jason DeFord.
She admitted that the journey hasn’t been easy, but she chooses to stay grounded.
“It’s hard, but at the same time, it’s like putting it in God’s hands,” she said.
“If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. And if not, we can always adopt it.” She added that she and Jelly Roll are also “totally open to adoption.”
The couple married in 2016 and Bunnie became a stepmother to Jelly Roll’s two children, daughter Bailee Ann and son Noah Buddy.
Over the past few years, she has shared honest updates about IVF.
In June, she released an emotional video to celebrate what she called a “huge victory”, after receiving news she had been waiting for for five months.
“All the tears and despair and struggle, God finally said, ‘Here,'” she captioned the clip.
She then clarified in the comments that she was not announcing a pregnancy but was marking an important step forward.
“This is not a pregnancy announcement, we will not announce it,” she wrote. “It’s just a huge win for us.”
For now, Bunnie and Jelly Roll remain hopeful as they continue to explore all avenues to expand their family, whether through IVF or adoption.
