Bumrah and Axar ruled out of third T20I, Kuldeep-Harshit finds his place

IND vs SA 3rd T20I: Jasprit Bumrah was not included in the playing XI and Harshit Rana got a chance.
Finally, it seems that Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been rested. After being included in the XIs for all T20Is against Australia, then two Tests and two T20Is against SA, he was not included in the squad for the third match in Dharamsala. Instead, reserve point guard Harshit Rana was included.
No Bumrah and Axar
In fact, the other change is that Axar Patel has also been ruled out due to illness. In a statement released, the BCCI said, “Jasprit Bumrah has returned home due to personal reasons and will not be available for the match. An update on his joining the squad for the remaining matches will be provided in due course.”

Meanwhile, this match would be a tough test for Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill, who have struggled to earn runs in 2025. Both have failed to score even a fifty in the format this year. Abhishek Sharma has also made just two 17s in the series so far.
There will also be a lot of expectations from JItesh Sharma, who is expected to have a big innings; and must also prove his inclusion in the Indian team. He is yet to score 50 in T20Is for the nation. As for the series, it is tied at 1-1, and with three matches remaining.
