Bryson DeChambeau adds another tool to his golf routine

Bryson DeChambeau is a self-proclaimed perfectionist, and nothing he does is by chance.

From his golf swing that he practices over and over again to his acting skills in “Happy Gilmore 2,” the two-time U.S. Open champion isn’t going to stop until everything works out.

Even in a recent interview with FOX Business, DeChambeau said he doesn’t feel like he’s overtraining and is always afraid of not being prepared, hence the hours spent on the driving range even after 18 holes.

But the golf scientist has added something else to his already vast arsenal.

Initially a pre-workout brand, BuckedUp has since expanded into other avenues such as 16-ounce energy drinks and hydration packets that DeChambeau, who became an ambassador in April, couldn’t help but support.

“There are a bunch of hydrating drinks out there, but there aren’t really any that take care of the body the way it should. A bunch are sugary, a bunch are fake and so on. And so we came up with the idea, we need a drink for the golf course that can hydrate you,” DeChambeau told FOX Business. “Everyone drinks different things on the golf course, but how about a drink that makes you feel better on a hot summer day, you know, or something that makes you want to have a nice drink.

“And that was kind of the beginning of dry hydration and what we’re accomplishing here is giving athletes and golfers in particular the ability to have a hydration drink ready to go on the golf course. After nine holes, after one round to get you going again. So that’s really what the beginning was, we wanted to create something special with the BuckedUp team, and we did it. We absolutely did it.”

All BuckedUp products will once again be 50% off from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, an annual sale that goes back several years. Pre-workouts can contain more than 300 milligrams of caffeine, just like energy drinks, but for people sensitive to stimulants, hydration packets don’t contain any. Instead, they contain Himalayan rock salt, coconut water powder, and vitamins B6 and B12.

“It’s a good deal. That’s what’s cool. They love introducing their product and dropping their product, because the product speaks for itself. It’s more of this drink, it just tastes good. It tastes so good and it doesn’t give you the crazy anxiety after the jitters and all that, and you feel really good,” DeChambeau said. “Everyone has their own experience, but most of the time it’s really amazing what people say about their drink, their energy drink, and now what they’re going to say about this dry hydration. It’s very impressive. I drank a little bit more of it last night, and I’m like, man, that’s an easy drink to drink. I can tell you that.”
